Since the beginning of Hope City, Angela and I have felt a passion and calling to establish a high quality, Jesus centered, and mission focused educational institution for our church and community. At SEU at Hope City we will see the next generation of leaders educated, trained, and placed in key roles in ministry and the marketplace as ambassadors for Jesus. Dustin Cox is the Executive Pastor of Education and Outreach at Hope City and serves on the Executive Leadership Team. As a result of over 20 years of ministry experience through serving in many different roles, settings and cultures, Pastor Dustin has a deep and broad understanding of ministry. After investing four years as a teacher in public education in the Waterloo Community School District, in 2015 Pastor Dustin made the decision to join Pastor Q and Angela in launching weekend services at Hope City Church. Since that time, he has served on the Business Advisory Team and led numerous ministries within the church. He is married to Lacey and is the proud dad to five daughters and one son. In addition to his love of spending time with his wife and kids, he also enjoys the outdoors, traveling to new places and trying exotic foods. He has a passion to see others discover their purpose and to see them educated and empowered to make a difference.
Pastor Dustin received his Masters degree in Leisure, Youth and Human Services with a focus in Youth Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science Teaching, both from the University of Northern Iowa. In addition, Pastor Dustin is a licensed Assemblies of God minister.
Southeastern University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate, baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees. Students must be admitted by Southeastern University and enrolled in university courses to receive the benefits of regional accreditation.
